Why work with me?
In the Fall 2010 I found myself on the set of November Christmas. I sat, with a headset, observing from the woods as Sam Elliott entered the scene.
I had been making films long before this, but I had never been on a professional film set before. I loved the energy, the intimacy, and the urgency. Everyone had a job and a purpose. The sound recordist gave me a headset so I could listen to the audio being recorded on the lavs and boom mics
— I fell in love.
I studied at NSCAD university and got a BFA in Film. I took as many photography courses along side this degree because of my passion for imagery, lighting, meaning and communication.
Shortly after graduating I found myself on the set of Trailer Park Boys. Nothing can beat the comradery on that set! However I continued to pursue higher — I wanted access to big gear and studios. And so I became an IATSE 667 camera assistant. Through this journey I worked on shows including Handmaiden’s Tale, Mr. D, and Moonshine. Through these experiences I learned what good
teamwork and good leadership is.
Film work on the East Coast tends to be seasonal, and so since 2013 I would do freelance videography and editing jobs in the off season. I would shoot documentaries, interviews, events, short films, live music, animations and more.
I have had the pleasure of working with creatives new and seasoned to filmmaking.
With over a decade of experience on big and small productions in a variety of genres, I look forward to teaming up together and making your idea accessible to everyone!
